Due to restrictions that still maintain in place by Gov. Cooper in NC regarding mass gatherings we cannot hold the 2021 SouthEast LinuxFest in person. Existing guidance from the Governor’s Office doesn’t paint a favorable picture for even reaching limits of half of SELF’s normal attendance by the event. Vaccination availability and rates vary wildly state to state within our footprint and thus will also not be a holistic solution in time for the event. So, like last year, we’re going to do a virtual event stream. If you would like to speak on our virtual stream, please use this form to submit your talk. If you made a hotel reservation you can cancel that reservation. When we finish updating our contract with the hotel we’ll ask them to cancel and/or provide us a rooming list to contact remaining reservations to tell them to cancel.
